Dr. Anita Huang has been treating infertility and providing prenatal care for over 20 years through her deep knowledge and unique combination of acupuncture points and Chinese herbs. Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system, according to several studies and medical research.Acupuncture helps by addressing problems that affect fertility such as an under-functioning thyroid (Hypothyroidism) or over-functioning thyroid (Hyperthyroidism). Acupuncture, frequently combined with Chinese herbs, has been used for centuries to treat causes of infertility through improved ovarian and follicular function. During your first visit Dr. Anita will go over your new patient form, you can fill it before your visit by downloading it from the website and bring it with you or you can fill it while you are at the clinic. To determine the type of acupuncture treatment that will help you the most, your practitioner may ask you about your symptoms, behaviors and lifestyle. He or she may also closely examine the parts of your body that are painful, The shape, coating and color of your tongue,The color of your face and the strength, rhythm and quality of the pulse in your wrist. This initial evaluation and treatment may take up to 90 minutes. Subsequent appointments usually take about 45 minutes. A common treatment plan for a single complaint would typically involve one or two treatments a week. The number of treatments will depend on the condition being treated and its severity. In general, it's common to receive six to eight treatments. We accept: cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Worker's Comp and major insurance. Insurance: We will check your acupuncture benefit and bill your insurance claims for you if your policy cover acupuncture. Patients who must cancel an appointment, and are unable to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice, will be charged a cancellation fee of $30.
